Renovation of a residential house in Bogotá

This design-built project consisted in the demolition and renovation of some interior areas and the complete restoration of house to its original state. The Braun house was designed by a well-known German architect in the 1930´s, and it well deserved to be kept as close as original as possible.

Our design-build proposal preserved most of its historical elements, while demolishing older restorations that took away its original character. The work contemplated the minimum possible intervention to the building and façade. Internally, all wooden floors were fixed and reused, as well as all existing doors and outstanding elements. The newly house was adapted to be used as a shared office building with an open conference room and a common kitchen.
