Project description: Architectural design of a public school in Barranquilla This design proposal, submitted to FONADE and the Ministry of Education, was elaborated in association with the consulting firms MYV and Lloreda Pineda. The proposed design focused on having different open spaces that are linked by a central common plaza. The project implantation took into account the humidity and intense local solar radiation, in order to have lower solar gain, and get increased ventilation and bioclimatic comfort. Different types of spaces were designed according to the different levels of students. Minors were given a more private space than older youth. As a result, public and semi - private open spaces follow different levels of education. In addition, the language of many forms use, seeks to represent the color and diversity in Barranquilla, where the culture and the social exchange are essential in the daily life of every person.   Work performed: Architectural design
