Project description:
The new cargo terminal is part of the renewed Eldorado International Airport in Bogota. Its design and construction was carried out in response to the strengthening of the aviation and cargo sector in Colombia.
TC1 is located west of the existing building TC2. TC1 began construction in 2010 and was completed in the year 2013. Together with TC2 and TC3, the new International Cargo Terminal has a total area of 73,494 m2 in cargo buildings and 87,088 m2 in exterior areas. TC1 (formerly International) underwent structural reinforcement and upgrade to the existing facility in order to comply with the NSR10 for seismic reinforcement. The TC1 Terminal serves both cargo domestic and international cargo operation.
From December 2010 to date Ecotika continued to work with OTCA, our client, and the different cargo handling operators towards improving the Terminal in the short and long term.
