Project description: Architectural design of a new Domestic Passenger Terminal at Entebbe’s International Airport The site chosen for the project was the ancient, legendary Terminal famously known for the hijacking an Air France plane by Palestinian terrorists in 1976. This old terminal was demolished to make way for the new passenger terminal for domestic use, which was built in the year 2007. The Control Tower was preserved for its historical and architectural significance. Local materials with high-tech elements were combined. The project was conceived to meet sustainable and bioclimatic principles, ensuring a stable temperature without the use of mechanical ventilation systems.
